Police to expand investigation of arrested persons near Decani Monastery (Kontakt Plus Radio)

Kosovo's Deputy Minister of the Interior Milan Radojevic stated today that police will expand the investigation of the four persons arrested on Saturday night in possession of ammunition and religious material in front of the Visoki Decani Monastery.

Radojevic further stated that police will expand the investigation to shed light on whether the case is linked to terrorism and religious extremism.

The Abbot of Visoki Decani Monastery, Sava Janjic, said that monks and personnel in the Monastery feel safe and that this incident is another indicator that the presence of KFOR guarding the Monastery is of crucial importance for the security of this shrine inscribed on the World Heritage UNESCO list.

Four Kosovo Albanians were arrested in possession of ammunition and religious Islamic material on Saturday through joint action by KFOR and Kosovo Police in the vicinity of Visoki Decani Monastery.
