No Serbs during Thaçi's visit to Hoča (KIM radio)
No representatives of the Serbs in Velika Hoča have met with President of Kosovo Hashim Thaçi during his visit yesterday. Although they were informed about the visit, the representatives of the Association of Families of Kidnapped and Killed have not been present.
The arrival of the President of Kosovo Hashim Thaçi to Hoča was accompanied with the increased security and a group of journalists from the Albanian media. No one came from Serbs who live there.
As KIM radio learns from the residents, they were embittered about the arrival of the Kosovo president and no one wanted this visit, but because of their situation they cannot say this publicly, which is why they want to remain anonymous.
This visit was scheduled for 10 am; however, Thaçi has arrived in the village after an hour of delay.
The representatives of the Association of Families of Kidnapped and missing in the municipality of Orahovac/Rahovec have not met with Thaçi also, thinking that the visit was cancelled. This confirms for VOA the representative of the Association Negovan Mavrić.
"His presence here has been cancelled. We wanted to show good will, that we from families that are affected directly we can work together. We wanted to show good will to shed light on the fate of missing persons and to accelerate the process, nothing more," said Mavrić, whose brother has been kidnapped during the war.
According to Mavrić, Thaçi's visit to Hoča has been agreed at a recent meeting of the President of Kosovo with representatives of the Association of Families of Kidnapped and Missing Persons in Kosovo and Metohija.
