The movie “Sporazum” (Agreement) was not shown at the Kosovo movie festival “PriFest, while Serbs in Kosovo are treated as second class citizens, stated movie director Predrag Radonjic, KIM Radio reported.
Sporazum is the only movie filmed completely in Kosovo, after 1999 and so far was presented in the official selection of domestic movies at the movie festivals in Nis, Vrnjacka Banja, Sopot and Leposavic as well as at the international movie festivals in Barcelona, London, Cannes, Sochi and Buzau.
Although application to participate at the greatest Kosovo movie festival PriFest was sent at the beginning of the year and confirmed, the movie Sporazum was not included in the program of the festival that took place from 14th to 20th July in Pristina.
Festival Director Vjosa Berisha was not able to elaborate why the movie Sporazum was not presented at the festival, KIM Radio further reported. Berisha asked KIM Radio journalist to address Art Director of the festival, without providing his phone number, adding that she should be contacted again next day.
Also, Radonjic sent applications twice for his documentaries to be presented at DocuFest in Prizren, however, these movies were not accepted and shown, although they won prizes at the international movie festivals.
“This speaks about openness, tolerance and multi-ethnicity of the Kosovo society and Kosovo Albanians. In fact, it is only a mask, disguising intolerance (…..),” Radonjic stated.
