A working meeting of the Union of Srpska Lista Women was held in Mitrovica North yesterday, and participants said women in this area are very strong and ready to face political circumstances, Kontakt plus radio reported.

Jasmina Dedic, the Chair of the Union and a municipal assembly candidate of the Srpska Lista in the forthcoming elections, said that women gathered to offer support to the Srpska Lista mayoral candidate Goran Rakic.

Dedic expressed gratitude to her female co-citizens who over the last years made the efforts so the Serb population could remain and survive in Kosovo, radio further reported.

Mayoral candidate of Srpska Lista, Goran Rakic, who attended the meeting, expressed gratitude for the offered support, saying that “women are the pillar of families and a society. You know the best how to fight for your families, children and your town and I thank you for that,” Kontakt plus radio reported.
