The Serbs have submitted 41 thousand applications for the return of the usurped property in Kosmet, and so far only one Serb woman has managed to have the court order the eviction of the usurper from her property.

The head of the team for human rights and property with the Office for Kosmet, Igor Popovic has told the RTS that at issue is Nadezda Jovanovic, who won the case before the Kosovo Constitutional Court. She had the formal decision of the Kosovo Property Agency for the return of property, but in order to realize it she had to address the constitutional court, which ruled in her favor.

Popovic has pointed that the next step is the eviction of the usurper, who had in the meantime illegally built three objects, and the removal of those buildings. The Kosovo Property Agency obviously has no mechanisms for the efficient implementation of their decisions, Popovic assessed.
