Djuric, Srpska Lista react on attack against Serb youngster in Suvi Do village (Tanjug, RTS)
Wounding of a Serb youngster in the village of Suvi Do, near Mitrovica once more confirmed there are unofficial centre of powers and organized extremist groups among Albanians in Kosovo, whose aim is to diminish efforts to resolve the issues in Kosovo by political means, Head of the Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Djuric said.
He urged both Pristina and the international community to prevent further deterioration of the security situation in Kosovo and Metohija, and punish those who have committed this and other numerous attacks against Serbs in the last two months, as well as to show they are sincerely on the side of the peace.
He also recalled that a Health House located in the village was for the fourth time demolished in the last two months. He assessed the attack against health institutions and health workers “as anticivilization act” that does not take place even under the war circumstances, yet alone at the times of peace, before the eyes of international security structures and organizations, whose tasks are to take care of the rule of law in Kosovo.
Meanwhile, Srpska Lista also reacted saying that the armed attack against a Serb youngster in the village of Suvi Do indicates that Albanian extremists’ cycles are disturbed with a dialogue and attempts to resolve problems with talks, as well as nervousness and wish to destabilize the situation.
Mitrovica Mayor Goran Rakic requested police to urgently deploy a static police presence in this village to prevent possible new incidents. He also expects from institutions responsible to preserve peace and security to swiftly find and punish the perpetrators of this and all other previous attacks, thus sending a clear message violence will not go unpunished, the Srpska Lista press statement reads.
