Mustafa: None of the parties showed readiness to join Thaci’s government (RTK)
Isa Mustafa, leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), said today that his decision to withdraw from the intention of becoming Prime Minister of Kosovo was a result of the agreement with the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) and the Initiative for Kosovo (Nisma). “I was nominated by the LDK as prime minister of the country. I would not have given up from the responsibility of becoming prime minister if the LDK would have won the elections. Every agreement requires compromise. I made this compromise for the good of the country, to create a broad-based government consisting of opposition parties and to implement the objectives and programs that we promised to the people. I have great faith that the agreement between the LDK, AAK and Nisma, and continued contact with the Vetevendosje is for the good of the country,” Mustafa wrote on his Facebook account today.
