Kosovo government and other institutions have neither closed the door nor disabled participation of the Serbian List in institutions, a high Kosovo government official said to Beta agency.

“Prime Minister Isa Mustafa used its constitutional and legal right to dismiss the minister Aleksandar Jablanovic due to his statement that caused strong disapproval and protests in general public in Kosovo,” said the source which preferred to remain anonymous. The source added that dismissal of Jablanovic doesn’t mean that the Serbian List is prevented from the institutional work, while its leadership chose itself to boycott the work of Kosovo institutions for certain period of time.

“In accordance with the coalition agreement and legal provisions, the prime minister is ready to appoint a new minister for communities and return from the ranks of the Serbian List at a moment when he receives such proposal.”

The source added that Mistafa is ready to discuss the issue, and such message was also conveyed to the Serbian List, whereas it is up to them to decide about the end of boycott in the government and Kosovo parliament and start performing their respective duties.

The Serbian List officials are not taking part in the work of Kosovo institutions after dismissal of the Serbian minister Aleksandar Jablanovic, whereas it also remains disputable for the Serbian List that coalition partners failed to honor their commitments with regard to creation of two new municipalities in Kosovo – Gora and Prilužje. Privatization process also did not cease in Serbian municipalities.
