Rasic: Protest against the government, not Serbs (KIM Radio)
I believe that announced protests of the opposition are not directed against Serbs but against the Kosovo government, said MP in the Kosovo parliament Nenad Rasic.
The leader of the Progressive Democratic Party (PDS), Nenad Rasic, said to RTV Kim that Association/Community of Serb municipalities appears as a topic at protests because that is one of the issues that Kosovo government has to deal with. He added that protests can’t lead to major changes in this moment. “The protest should be normal and peaceful aiming at gathering of citizens and warning,” said Rasic.
He reflected on the boycott of Kosovo institutions by representatives of the Serbian List and said that by non-participation Serbs are losing links and influence on all relevant institutions.
“Majority population in Kosovo believe that behavior of nine Serb MPs is destructive, that they don’t work in the interest of the Kosovo society but in the interest of someone else. That has undermined the trust that was already fragile,” said Rasic.
