Žbogar: Time to find out the truth (RTK2/KIM Radio)
At a debate organized by the School for Legal and Political Studies, in relation with the creation of the Special Court, the EU Special Representative Samuel Žbogar said that the time has come to find out the truth and added that Dick Marty’s report addresses few difficult issues for Kosovo.
“After we received the Council of Europe’s report we started to pay attention to the matter of human organ trafficking, and it had a negative effect. The Court won’t damage the image of Kosovo, instead it will improve it. I think that Kosovo should establish this Court and not fear from it. We should hope that we’ll clear some issues and change the perception of Kosovo in international sense. Kosovo should think about its own interest, instead of the interest of individuals,” said Žbogar.
Žbogar pointed out the importance of informing the citizens about this issue, since citizens have become skeptical after the presentation of Dick Marty’s report to the Council of Europe.
Organizers of the event said that despite invitations extended to representatives of Kosovo institutions most of them refused to take part in the debate about consequences of non-establishment of the Special Court by the Kosovo parliament.
