By presenting a Serbian List representative as candidate for President of Kosovo, the Serbs would be helping Hashim Thaci, said analyst Nexhmedin Spahiu. He explained that in these circumstances the election of Thaci for President of Kosovo does not depend on the votes of the Serbian deputies in Parliament. However, according to voting procedure, elections must be held between at least two candidates.

"It would help him a lot if the Serbian List were to present a candidate, because the voting must be held between at least two candidates. Since the opposition is boycotting the entire process, it would help Hashim Thaci to get elected President," said Spahiu.
