Slavko Simić: We have achieved the main political goal (KIM radio, Kontakt plus radio)
President of the Serbian List Slavko Simić said yesterday in North Mitrovica that the party achieved the main political goal in the elections held Sunday. According to the last data, Serbian List won 9 out of 10 seats reserved for Serbs, reported KIM radio.
The Serbian List received over 40,000 votes, which broke the record in the number of votes won by a Serbian party in Kosovo, said Simić and added that in the future Assembly of Kosovo, there would be enough MPs to prevent the amendments of the Constitution, change of the boundaries and to oppose the formation of the Army of Kosovo.
- In spite of the impossible conditions, the fact that for the other lists have worked the entire Albanian establishment and almost the entire international community, with huge financial, political and media resources, we have increased the number of votes for several thousand, Simić said.
According to the data from almost 100% of polling stations, the Serbian List won 40,886 votes, the Progressive Democratic Party 1408, the Independent Liberal Party 3113 and the Kosovo Serb Party 1941, said Simić in a press conference held last night in North Mitrovica.
Simić also said that there will be 10 MPs in the caucus, together with the representative of Gorani what is one MP more comparing to the previous government.
