Vucic: Important that NATO remains status neutral in Kosovo (Politika)
President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic and NATO Deputy Secretary General, Rose Gottemoeller spoke in Belgrade yesterday about mutual political dialogue, practical co-operation and forthcoming meeting between the Serbian President and the NATO Secretary General, Politika daily reported.
Vucic said that the co-operation between Serbia and NATO was much advanced, and mutual trust strengthened. He added that Serbia is a military neutral country, without intention to change that status, but remains firmly decisive to co-operate with the NATO Alliance within the Partnership for Peace Programme, aiming to preserve permanent peace and stability in the region, Politika reported.
Vucic said it is of crucial importance that NATO continues to have principled and status neutral relations toward Kosovo, adding that the NATO is for Serbia a factor of the regional stability, and KFOR an important factor for the security and survival of the Serb community in Kosovo.
