"Expectations are not fulfilled, we are guilty ourselves" (Kontakt plus radio, RTV KiM)
"The Albanians gained what they wanted with Kosovo's independence, but they did not fulfil their expectations nor they have justified the assistance given to them," Nexhmedin Spahiu told Radio Television KiM (RTV KiM).
Analyst Nexhmedin Spahiu said in a statement to RTV KiM that Albanians in Kosovo by declaring independence got the state, as well as "recognition from the greater part of the world", but, as he said, they did not recognize themselves.
"That's why our expectations were much higher than our achievements in these ten years. In fact, for all of our misfortunes, for all of our problems we accused Serbia and Belgrade and we thought that they were guilty of all our misfortunes, and not our inabilities i.e. our shortcomings," he said.
Kosovo Albanians are largely unhappy with what they gained by becoming independent, pointing that "they themselves are guilty" for such a situation.
"A diverse society, democracy, human rights, economy, culture, health, education, these were all opportunities that existed, but Kosovo's society acted very irresponsible and therefore managed to achieve little of what was expected of them," said Spahiu to RTV KiM.
