Ranko Perenić's family is in shock; waiting for a response to an appeal for the investigation to stop (KIM radio, UNS)

The wife of the kidnapped journalist Ranko Perinic, Snezana Perenic, did not get an answer, even three months after she appealed the decision of EULEX to close the investigation into the kidnapping of her husband, Ranko, reports KIM radio.

EULEX closed the investigation on October 23, 2013, but only informed the family in December last year about it, at a time when the investigation documentation had already been forwarded to the Kosovo Special Prosecutor's Office, reports KIM radio, quoting the Association of Journalist of Serbia.

No institution has called Snezana Perenic to testify, nor did she have any knowledge that the investigation was being conducted. Which is why she was in a total shock when, along with the notification of EULEX, she had received a statement from the prosecutor Maurizio Salustro that her husband, employee of RTV Pristina, was taken to an unknown direction by members of the KLA with a threat of a weapon, and that EULEX gave her three days to complain about the decision to close the investigation, KIM radio reports. Now, there are no answers for months.

- I'm just desperate. I still did not recover from the shock I experienced. I'd like someone to inform me that the investigation has been re-opened. I do not want it to end on this, but I do not know who I am going to talk to. It's not logical for me that they give me three days for appeal, and then they do not reply for three months - says Snezana Perenic to the Association of Journalists of Serbia (UNS), reports KIM radio.
