Dacic: USA ready to support compromise for Kosovo (Tanjug, RTS)
USA administration is ready to offer support to Serbia in finding a compromise solution for Kosovo issue, and that is very positive for Serbia at this moment, Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic told Tanjug news agency.
Dacic also expressed impression that the current situation in relation between the two states is different comparing to the previous times and he has informed Serbian President Vucic about that, news agency continued.
He assessed the visit of Serbian officials to the USA, including the PM Brnabic, as very significant and with good results for Serbia.
“This was a good opportunity to talk about resetting and revitalizing relations of the two counties, and that is why all these meetings and conferences where I took part were very beneficial,” Dacic said.
Talking about meetings with John Bolton National Security Advisor to the USA President and Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, Wess Mitchell, Dacic said these meetings “were very constructive” and were held “in a very positive environment.”
“What is certain is that following the arrival of a new US administration, we have more convenient environment to express our stances, greater understanding for our positions and greater willingness to reset our relations and help stabilize circumstances in the region,” Dacic told the Serbian news agency.
