US official tells Serbian PM dialogue important to region (FoNet)
US State Department official Mathew Palmer told Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic that the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue is important to the stability of the region, FoNet news agency reported.
He said Washington firmly believes that the dialogue is important to maintain peace and stability in the Western Balkans, Serbian Government press release said.
Brnabic is quoted as saying that she told the US deputy assistant Secretary of State that the peace and stability of the region are of crucial importance to Serbia which remains committed to finding a compromise solution for Kosovo and recalling that Belgrade met all its obligations from the Brussels Agreement while Pristina did not.
She said that the results of the reforms in the economy and judiciary show how committed her government is to improving business conditions which she said is a strong motivation for American and other companies to come to Serbia and a guarantee that they will operate in a predictable and stimulating business environment, the statement said.
It added that Brnabic and Palmer agreed that a huge potential exists to develop cooperation between the two countries.
