First meeting of General Mojsilovic and KFOR Commander (Tanjug)
Serbian Army Chief-of-Staff Lieutenant General Milan Mojsilovic met in Belgrade with KFOR Commander, Major General Salvatore Couci, Tanjug news agency reported.
This is the first official meeting of the two generals, since General Mojsilovic assumed the duty in September this year.
The two military officials spoke about current security situation in Kosovo and Metohija, as well as about the realization of joint Army of Serbia and KFOR activities.
Expressing concern over recent events, General Mojsilovic emphasized that unilateral and non-transparent acts make the situation on the ground more complex, and the respect of all agreements that are in force and obligations deriving from them is of crucial importance for the security situation in Kosovo and Metohija.
He noted, it is the mutual interest of the Serbian Army and KFOR to maintain security in respective areas of responsibility on the both sides of the administrative line, and that KFOR as an international stakeholder is the most responsible for the security of all citizens in the southern province, in particular of non-Albanian population.
This was the meeting at a high level of the Joint Commission for Implementation of Military-Technical Agreement, comprising of KFOR Command and Republic of Serbia security forces’ representatives. The meetings of Joint Commission have been taking place on different levels since 1999, in order to implement Military-Technical Agreement, Serbian media reported.
