The government of Kosovo has not yet decided whether it will apply this year for UNESCO membership, the paper reports. Kosovo government’s work plan for this year mentions preparations for EU membership but not for UNESCO. Foreign Minister Enver Hoxhaj said there is still no decision and it is early to speak about the issue. Asked to elaborate, he told the paper: “We have plenty of time. Whether we apply or not is a matter of state confidentiality.”

Kosovo’s Foreign Minister, Enver Hoxhaj, accused Serbia of running a “special propaganda war” against Kosovo. “The government of Serbia has launched a war of information against Kosovo to incite unrests in Kosovo and the region. An unacceptable attack on peace,” Hoxhaj said.

NATO Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg will visit Kosovo tomorrow. His visit was announced by a KFOR press release.  During his visit, Stoltenberg will meet the COMKFOR, Major-Genral Giovanni Fungo.

He will also meet with KFOR troops and the key international representatives in Kosovo.

The French Embassy in Kosovo announced in a statement that the French Foreign Minister, Jean-Marc Ayrault, is scheduled to meet today Kosovo’s Foreign Minister, Enver Hoxhaj. The meeting is expected to focus on the detention of the AAK leader Ramush Haradinaj by French authorities on an arrest warrant issued by Serbia. Kosovo authorities are making efforts to secure Haradinaj’s release.

Kosovo’s Foreign Minister, Enver Hoxhaj, said in an interview for KTV that Prime Minister Isa Mustafa acted rightly when he dismissed Ljubomir Maric from the post of Minister of Local Government and Administration. “Maric cannot be reinstated. He was my colleague but his dismissal was a long time coming due to his actions,” Hoxhaj said. He added that the wall in Mitrovica North has to be brought down as it was not part of any agreement signed between representatives of Kosovo and Serbia.

Kosovo’s Foreign Minister Enver Hoxhaj hailed today in a press conference a letter the government of Kosovo received from NATO Secretary General saying it opens a new stage in Kosovo’s relations with the alliance. Hoxhaj said strengthening of interaction with NATO will contribute to stability and security in Kosovo. This, according to Hoxhaj, will also prepare Kosovo for meeting all preconditions for joining NATO’s Partnership for Peace programme.

Kosovo’s Foreign Minister, Enver Hoxhaj, met today Austria’s Ambassador to Kosovo, Gernot Pfandler. Hoxhaj and Pfandler discussed the cooperation between Kosovo and Austria, with particular focus in the action plan 2017 where concrete joint activities were defined. “The focus of this plan is to intensify economic cooperation, Austria’s support for Kosovo in the path of Euro-Atlantic integration and support for Kosovo's membership in international organizations,” notes a press release issued by Foreign Ministry.

Belgrade wants a continuation of the dialogue with Pristina in a status-neutral way, Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic has said.

That also implies that Pristina does not begin every discussion with references to "genocide" or "ethnic cleansing" allegedly committed by Serbia, he told a regular news conference in Belgrade on Thursday.

Pristina is displaying nervousness because it is less and less successful on the international scene, Dacic said.

Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic says he left a meeting in Warsaw on Tuesday "because of the insults made by Kosovo Foreign Minister Enver Hoxhaj."

Dacic said on Wednesday that Hoxhaj accused Serbs of being guilty for "all wars in the former Yugoslavia and for genocide."

The meeting in Poland brought together members of the Visegrad Group and of the so-called Western Balkans Six.

Kosovo’s Foreign Minister, Enver Hoxhaj and the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, signed in Brussels today agreement enabling Kosovo access to EU programmes, a press release issued by the Kosovo’s Foreign Ministry states. This is the second contractual agreement Kosovo signs with the EU, following Stabilisation and Association Agreement.
