MP of the Serbian List in the Kosovo Assembly Nenad Rašić says that relations between Albanians and Serbs in Kosovo have never been worse and it needs the help of the international community for the improvement, particularly of the EU in Kosovo but their representatives are completely passive in recent time.

"The Constitutional Court maybe unwittingly had become an instrument of political decisions," told RTV KIM, Deputy Nenad Rašić about the decision of the Constitutional Court to reject the Serbian List's request to assess the constitutionality of the Trepča law.

Kosovo’s Constitutional Court today rejected the request of the Serbian List for review of the constitutionality of the Trepca Law which was approved by Kosovo Assembly a few weeks ago. In conclusion, the Court finds that the Applicants did not substantiate their allegations on constitutional grounds and did not provide evidence indicating how and why the challenged Trepca Law violated the Constitution of Kosovo. Therefore, the Court states that the Law no. 05 / L-120 for Trepca is in compliance with the Constitution, meaning that it is constitutional.

The Serbian List, represented in the Assembly of Kosovo with 11 MPs, is blocking the transformation of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) into Kosovo Armed Force (KAF), said representatives of the Kosovo government. The establishment of the Kosovo Armed Force can only be done through a constitutional amendment which requires double majority, namely also two-thirds of votes from non-Albanian communities.  Kosovo Security Force Minister, Haki Demolli, said that KSF has already implemented its entire programme and is ready to undergo the transformation process.

MP of the Serbian List in the Kosovo Parliament Nenad Rašić told Srna that the problem of Trepča can be solved only through negotiations and with experts' arbitration, and stressed that the Law on Trepča must be returned for reconsideration.

He recalls that Serbian MPs have filed a request to review the constitutionality of the law, because the Serbian community had not been consulted.

The President of the Assembly of Kosovo spoke today during a  visit to the children who are following education programs for democracy, about the visit of the Deputy Prime Minister Branimir Stojanović in Brussels. Stojanović is meeting European Union officials and discussing Trepca Law endorsed by Kosovo Assembly on 8 October. Based on Serbian media, he is considering this Law to be harmful. However, Veseli did not seem concerned about these meetings. “Trepca issue is over.

The main Kosovo Serb party’s boycott of parliament shows that its decisions are guided by Belgrade, while also highlighting Pristina political leaders’ inability to integrate the country’s Serb minority.

Kosovo Assembly President, Kadri Veseli, commented today on the Serbian List’s decision to suspend their participation in institutions after the Assembly adopted the law on the Trepca mining complex. Veseli said the Serbian List will soon return to the Assembly and that there is no reason for boycott. Asked about the eventual return of Serb ministers in the government, Veseli said: “officially they have not returned yet, but we have contacts. They have their political position but I believe this situation will soon improve and they will return”.

The Serbian List announced today that it will file an appeal with the Constitutional Court of Kosovo, on the Law on strategic investments, which was adopted by the Kosovo Assembly.

The Serbian list previously, on October 13, has filed an appeal on the Trepča Law to the Constitutional Court.

The Serbian List has frozen its work in Kosovo institutions, because the Assembly at the request of the government, without consultation with them, adopted a law on Trepča.
