Hoxha: Despite challenges, Kosovars never lost hope in EU (Koha)

Kosovo’s Minister of European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha, said at a ceremony organised to mark the tenth anniversary of Kosovo and Germany establishing diplomatic relations that the people of Kosovo never lost hope in the EU despite challenges, particularly with visa liberalisation. “We have achieved progress but still a great deal remains to be done on our integration journey,” Hoxha said. She underlined that Germany remains a very important partner for Kosovo and is one of the most powerful voices that promotes Kosovo’s European integration.

Minister presents progress report recommendations for Kosovo (media)

Kosovo’s Minister of European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha, presented before the government ministers today key recommendations stemming from the latest European Commission report on Kosovo. Hoxha said on the occasion that a large number of recommendations will be addressed through the implementation of the Stabilisation and Association Programme and the European Reform Agenda. “The Ministry of Integration will regularly monitor and report on the implementation of the programme and ERA,” Hoxha said.

Kosovo’s Minister for European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha, said at the “Go West – Western Balkan” conference taking place in Vienna that European integration remains one of the key objectives of Kosovo’s foreign policy along with consolidation of democracy, rule of law, respect of human rights and creation of a functional market economy. She said she hoped the EU institutions would continue to provide a concrete and dynamic integration perspective for the whole of Western Balkans region.

During the today’s meeting of the government, Kosovo’s Minister for European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha spoke about the European agenda for 2018.

“As far as the future steps are concerned, the government will open next week in Brussels a new discourse on reforms, where we will request Kosovo’s advancement on integration process,” Hoxha said.

In a meeting with the head of the EU Office in Kosovo and Special Representative Nataliya Apostolova, Kosovo’s Minister for European Integration Dhurata Hoxha formally submitted Kosovo’s Country Report. Hoxha emphasized the importance of the report as a key instrument through which the EU can measure progress made by Kosovo institutions since the last report in 2016. Hoxha also spoke of the commitment of Kosovo institutions to push forward the European agenda.

Kosovo’s Minister for European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha, met today in Brussels with the EU Enlargement Commissioner Johannes Hahn, to discuss the integrating agenda of Kosovo.

Minister Hoxha stressed progress made in many fields, starting from the rule of law, economic development and good neighborly relations.

Hoxha requested from Hahn support, especially on economic development respectively help for new entrepreneurs that would impact increase of working places.

Kosovo minister: Europe not complete without Western Balkans (Telegrafi)

Kosovo’s Minister of European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha, said in a meeting today with the German Ambassador, Christian Heldt, that Europe cannot be complete without the Western Balkans. “Our Euro-Atlantic journey is unstoppable and we are committed to achieve our citizens’ expectations,” Hoxha said.

Ambassador Heldt on his part stressed the important of successful implementation of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA) and offered Germany’s support in this process.
