Vetevendosje’s Haxhiu: Haradinaj broke the law by increasing his own salary (Zeri)

Vetevendosje MP, Albulena Haxhiu, said Prime Minister of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, broke the law by deciding to increase his own salary as well as those of his cabinet. Citing Kosovo’s Criminal Code, Haxhiu said she would send the case to the anti-corruption agency. “Article 424 of the Criminal Code forbids an official person from deciding on an issues in which he or she has a direct financial interest,” Haxhiu said.

Ymeri comments arrest of Vetevendosje MPs (RTK)

The leader of the Vetevendosje Movement, Visar Ymeri reacted to the arrest of Vetevendosje MPs. “The three MPs of the Assembly of Kosovo, Albulena Haxhiu, Donika Kadaj-Bujupi dhe Albin Kurti were arrested in a brutal manner by the Police of the Republic of Kosovo, based on political orders, while they were entering the session. So the three MPs were coming at the session called for today.

Kosovo Police has arrested these moments the Vetevendosje Movement MP Albin Kurti. A great number of police officers was seen at the main entrance of the Assembly of Kosovo. After receiving the arrest warrant by judge Beqir Kalludra, Kosovo Police, based on the Law, arrested Kurti, Albulena Haxhiu and Donika Kadaj-Bujupi while entering the Kosovo Assembly. The three Vetevendosje Movement MPs Albin Kurti, Albulena Haxhiu and Donika Kadaj –Bukupi are being accused by the Court for throwing teargas at the Assembly. Vetevendosje MPs protested to the arrest.

Vetevendosje would not vote Veseli for Assembly President (Telegrafi)

Vetevendosje MP, Albulena Haxhiu, told Telegrafi that Kadri Veseli is a divisive figure and that he is not worthy for President of the Assembly of Kosovo. She added that the Assembly President should be a personality who represents unity. She also suggested to the Democratic Party of Kosovo to consider some other candidate who is worthy of being Assembly President. “We would not vote a figure such as Kadri Veseli for Assembly President,” she said.

Vetëvendosje will not attend President Thaci’s meeting (Telegrafi)

Vetevendosje will not take part in President of Kosovo Hashim Thaci’s meeting on Monday to discuss the timing of the Assembly’s constitutive session, said MP Albulena Haxhiu. Haxhiu said the meeting was “completely unnecessary”. “It would be better for the president of the country to call the constitutive session and not such meetings which are unnecessary. Vetevendosje has reviewed President’s invitation and will not take part in the meeting”, she added.

Vetevendosje’s Haxhiu: PAN has not enough votes to form government (Klan Kosova)

Vetevendosje MP, Albulena Haxhiu, said the PAN coalition led by the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) and its candidate for prime minister Ramush Haradinaj do not have required numbers to form the new government of Kosovo and that this was the reason why an Assembly session is not being called. In a Facebook post, Haxhiu said President of Kosovo Hashim Thaci was serving the interests of PAN by not calling the constitutive session of the Assembly. “They don’t even have the numbers to elect Kadri Veseli Assembly Speaker”, Haxhiu wrote.
