Ymeri comments arrest of Vetevendosje MPs (RTK)

The leader of the Vetevendosje Movement, Visar Ymeri reacted to the arrest of Vetevendosje MPs. “The three MPs of the Assembly of Kosovo, Albulena Haxhiu, Donika Kadaj-Bujupi dhe Albin Kurti were arrested in a brutal manner by the Police of the Republic of Kosovo, based on political orders, while they were entering the session. Ymeri accuses Thaci of acting as “king” of Kosovo (Koha)

In a press conference today, Vetevendosje leader Visar Ymeri accused President of Kosovo Hashim Thaci as acting as if he were “king” of Kosovo. Ymeri said there are rules which specify who should be given mandate to form the government. “Citizens have given their verdict and neither Thaci nor anyone else can stop Vetevendosje”, Ymeri said.

The candidate for the Prime Minister from PAN coalition, Ramush Haradinaj invited yesterday for a meeting the leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa and the leader of Vetevendosje movement, Visar Ymeri, however both political leaders rejected his invitation.

Vetvendosje movement expressed once again that it is open to cooperate with the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK)  in order to create a parliamentary majority in case PAN coalition fails to form the government.

Vetevendosje representatives said that leaders of the two parties, Visar Ymeri and Isa Mustafa, have already talked on the phone but that their meetings have not started yet.

Vetevendosje invites LDK to dialogue prior to certification of election results (Koha)

Vetevendosje leader, Visar Ymeri, has invited the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) to join talks for forming the new government of Kosovo. In a Facebook post, Ymeri wrote that 11 June elections marked a turning point in Kosovo’s political landscape and that no one has the right to disregard the will of the people. “Let us meet up and talk. Judging from statements from LDK officials led by Mr. Mustafa it is obvious we have a lot to talk about”, Ymeri said adding that they should not wait for certification of final election results to meet.

Ymeri: The will of Serb voters got distorted by Serbian List (Klan Kosova)

Vetevendosje leader, Visar Ymeri, wrote on Facebook that the will of Kosovo Serb voters was distorted in 11 June elections through the pressure exercised by the Serbian List. “Initially, this was exercised on other local Serb parties by forcing them to withdraw from elections such as the case with one party who withdrew its list of candidates following pressure from Belgrade. At the same time, the Liberal Party led by Slobodan Petrovic undertook no election campaign at all as a result of open intimidation by the Serbian List”, Ymeri wrote.

Vetevendosje vows to continue opposing border demarcation deal (Koha/Klan Kosova)

Vetevendosje leader, Visar Ymeri, said in press conference today that the government of Kosovo had “no courage” to send the border demarcation agreement to the Assembly today. “The government also knows it to be damaging for the country,” he told reporters. He said that Vetevendosje would continue to oppose the border demarcation agreement by employing “all forms of protest.”

Vetëvendosje movement MPs blocked today for a few minutes the Assembly pulpit, holding a banner with inscription “Justice”, requesting in this manner justice for Astrit Dehari, who died at Prizren prison.

Vetëvednosje movement leader, Visar Ymeri, held a speech expressing dissatisfaction regarding the delays on shedding light on the case of Dehari’s death. He said that Astrit Dehari’s death is responsibility of the institutions of the government of Kosovo.

The leader of the Vetëvendosje movement, Visar Ymeri, spoke today at the commemoration ceremony held for the Vetëvendosje activist, Astrit Dehari. He said that Denhari was arrested  during a terrorizing action, without any evidence or fact. “The police and the prosecution deceived and lied everyone,” said Ymeri and pledged to bring justice in place and enlighten the circumstances of Dehari’s death. “We will not leave a stone unturned to bring justice in place for Astrit, and everyone in this country,” Ymeri said.
