Mustafa recaps on the work of the government, asks his ministers to travel less (Koha)

In the meeting of the government, Prime Minister Isa Mustafa spoke about the annual work of the government and commended the ministries on their work. He said that despite difficulties, the Government has managed to fulfill main objectives for this year with the signing of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement with the European Union being one of the most significant achievements in 2015.

Mustafa: Kosovo fulfilled technical criteria for visa liberalization (Koha)

Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa and European integration Minister, Bekim Collaku, today met with the ambassadors of the EU member states to Kosovo to discuss the visa liberalization process. Mustafa and Collaku informed the ambassadors that Kosovo fully met the technical criteria for visa liberalization and Kosovo expect the EU to make the promised political decision which would recommend that next year Kosovo citizens would be able to travel without visas to EU countries.

FOL: Kosovo Government implemented only half of annual work goals (Koha)

On the first anniversary of the Isa Mustafa-led government, FOL think tank published a report on the progress of the government covering the period from January to September of 2015. The report found that by the reporting period, the Government of Kosovo fulfilled only 53 percent of its annual work plan. Fol representatives said the survey monitored the work of 20 government institutions and out of 348 activities or objectives that were planned, 183 have been achieved.

Ymeri: Risk to Kosovo posed by Association not Albania (Koha)

Vetevendosje leader Visar Ymeri took to Facebook to say that threats to Kosovo have historically come from Serbia and not Albania. Today, according to Ymeri, the threat to Kosovo comes from the Association/Community of Serb-majority municipalities. “It is unacceptable, even frustrating, this regime’s propaganda which incites hatred amongst Albanians,” Ymeri wrote. He said the problem that Kosovo needs to discard is the Association/Community.

Opposition’s demands: Annulment of agreements and release of MPs (Koha)

Opposition leaders in a meeting with Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga presented their demands for overcoming the current political situation which include the annulment of the agreement with Serbia on the establishment of the Association/Community of Serb majority municipalities and the one on border demarcation with Montenegro as well as the release of all imprisoned opposition MPs and activists. If the agreements are not revoked, the leaders of the Vetevendosje Movement, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) and Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA) demanded a referendum.

AAK, Vetevendosje: Mustafa and Thaci continue repressive measures against opposition (Koha)

The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) has issued a press release accusing Kosovo political leaders of persecuting opposition members following the call to the party’s senior official Pal Lekaj to report to the prosecutor’s office. AAK said is it unacceptable and hypocritical of the government to, on one hand, make calls for dialogue, and on the other, to continue repressive measures against the opposition representatives.

Delawie and Zbogar support the continuation of work in the Assembly (Koha)

Kosovo Assembly President Kadri Veseli today met with the United States Ambassador to Kosovo, Greg Delawie and the EU Representative in Kosovo, Samuel Zbogar. During the meeting it was discussed about the recent developments in Kosovo, with particular emphasis on the work of the Assembly. Delawie and Zbogar expressed their support for the continuation of the work of the Assembly, in order to avoid creating delays in the promulgation of laws relevant to the processes through which Kosovo is going.

Mustafa invites opposition for a meeting on 7 December (Koha)

Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa during a press conference today said he sent an official invitation to the three opposition leaders to meet on 7 December  in the premises of the Assembly and discuss the recent agreements with Serbia and Montenegro which are being opposed by the opposition. The invitation was also sent to Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Hashim Thaci.
