UN Secretary General can suggest changes to the composition of the UN Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) including the end of the mission, but the decision must be made by the UN Security Council where the five permanent members, including Russia and China, have veto power, Beta news agency learned.

Serbian media covers and today the issue of the disclosure of the letter of the US ambassador to the UN, Nikki R. Haley, proposing the departure of UNMIK from Kosovo.

The U.S. Ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley, said they would continue to work towards ensuring Kosovo becomes a member of the UN and that the bond between Kosovo and U.S. cannot be broken. Haley made the comments at an event organised by Kosovo's Consulate in New York and the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo.
