German Chancellor Angela Merkel welcomes Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic in Berlin today with state honours.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel said today after meeting with Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic that the process of solving the problems of Kosovo and Metohija should be continued and further improved in order to reach a solution.

Slovak Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak told Serbia’s heads of state and government that his country, as chair of the OSCE, is carefully monitoring the situation in Kosovo and will continue providing assistance and support to Serbia on its path to the European Union.

Serbia’s high-ranking officials met Patriarch Irinej on Sunday to inform him about the current situation in the country, which President Aleksandar Vucic assessed as “difficult.”

Besides President Vucic, the meeting was attended by Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic is not going to the annual session of the United Nations General Assembly next week, instead Prime Minister Ana Brnabic will go to New York, finds out Belgrade-based daily Danas from the circles close to the top state authorities.

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said on Tuesday EU's enlargement strategy for the Western Balkans "considers Serbia as a leader."

According to her remarks published by the Serbian Government, Brnabic also "noted that Serbia will continue to implement reforms faster, while regional cooperation will still be a priority."
