Dodik: If Kosovo joins UN, RS would refer to that right (Tanjug, B92)

If self-declared Kosovo joins the United Nations, Republic of Srpska (RS) would refer to that right, Chairman of the Bosnian Presidency Milorad Dodik said, Tanjug news agency reports.

Dodik consider that Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina would also not miss a chance to secede from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“I think, if the constellation is made as such, Croats either will not miss a chance to secede from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Then the question would arise who would stay there?” Dodik told RTS.

Dodik says Serbia important for regional stability (BETA, TV N1)

Bosnia-Herzegovina Presidency Chairman Milorad Dodik told a joint news conference with President Aleksandar Vucic in Belgrade that Serbia is the most important element of stability, security and development in the region, adding everyone in his country should realize that, BETA news agency reports.

Speaking after a meeting with Vucic, Dodik said that Serbia is ready to select, and finance projects proposed by BiH Federation.

According to the newspaper, this message should be handed over to the president of the Serb entity in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Milorad Dodik by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who will visit Sarajevo and Banja Luka on September 16-17.

If Kosovo becomes a member of the UN and other international institutions, Banjaluka would request the same, President of Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik told Belgrade-based daily Vecernje Novosti.

“The Assembly of Srpska adopted resolution, saying that in case of establishing of a new international principle and practice in recognizing the right to self-determination, we would insist on determining our state status. This document is still in force and we would not give up on it,” Dodik told Vecernje Novosti.
