"Unification of Mitrovica" is violation of Brussels agreement (Radio kontakt plus)

Radio kontakt plus reports on topic of the unification of South and Mitrovica North, an initiative launched by Agim Bahtiri, Mayor of South Mitrovica.

“Deciding on the unification of Mitrovica would undoubtedly have major consequences, since, after many years of completely independent functioning of the northern administration, a merger and unification into a single administration is being requested, which under current political circumstances is also counterproductive,” director of non-governmental organization “Aktiv” Miodrag Milicevic said.

“People don’t trust a single politician in northern Kosovo” (Radio KIM)

During a debate “What has changed after January 16, 2018” organized in Mitrovica Social Club, NGO Aktiv Executive Director Miodrag Milicevic said that “88 percent of people don’t trust a single politician in northern Kosovo”, Radio KIM reports.

The panelists in the debate also included Deputy Leader of Civic Initiative, Freedom, Democracy, Justice (GI SDP) Ksenija Bozovic and President of Association of Journalists of Serbia in Kosovo, Budimir Nicic.

Kosovo: One year since integration of judiciary (Radio kontakt plus)

NGO Aktiv organised a public debate within its Mitrovica Social Club on the occasion of the first anniversary since the integration of judiciary, Radio kontakt plus reported.

Judge of Kosovo Supreme Court Jelena Krivokapic said perhaps the only and the biggest advantage of integration is that citizens do not have to seek justice before two different courts, i.e. in two different legal systems.

North of Kosovo trusts neither Serbian nor Albanian politicians (RFE, Danas)

Around 88 percent of citizens in the four northern Kosovo municipalities, where the majority Serb population is residing, does not trust any Serb politician in Kosovo, while 99 percent does not trust any Albanian politician, Radio Free Europe reports today.

This is according to the survey conducted by Mitrovica North Non-Governmental Organization Aktiv, which in the second half of June interviewed 800 respondents from Mitrovica North, Leposavic, Zubin Potok and Zvecan.
