Kosovo’s President, Atifete Jahjaga, marking the Week of Women in Kosovo, said that the overall process depends on the role of women. "We take pride in the achievements of women. More work needs to be done on the implementation of a comprehensive approach on the institutions of justice, employment and education,” Jahjaga said. While Teuta Sahatqija, representative of Women Caucus said that the idea has been that women be empowered and not mentioned only on 8 March.

Kosovo’s Minister of Finance, Avdullah Hoti met on Thursday with World Bank's Regional Vice President, Laura Tuck, accompanied by the Regional Director of the World Bank, Ellen Goldstein, and World Bank Country Manager for Kosovo, Jan-Peter Olters, with whom he discussed mutual cooperation and thanked them for the help that the World Bank has given to Kosovo. Hoti said that Kosovo has fiscal and macroeconomic stability and that the government of Kosovo is implementing its objectives on economic development.

Four farmers in the municipality of Dragash are the beneficiaries of 37 thousand euros allocated by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). This grant is allocated to the project funded by the Austrian Development Cooperation "response at the local level regarding the creation of jobs (employment) and Integrated Territorial Development (InTerDev)". Through a press release, UNDP announced that the project InTerDev finalized two activities that serve small farmers and unemployed youth to improve their lifestyle.

Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, met on Tuesday with Saudi Arabia Ambassador to Albania, nonresident in Pristina, Talat Radwan Salem. Mustafa briefed the ambassador on Kosovo’s progress, priorities, economic development and employment reforms being undertaken by the government. Talat Radwan Salem, emphasized the willingness of Saudi Arabia to deepen bilateral cooperation with Kosovo, expressing his commitment in this regard, while working as non-resident ambassador in Pristina.

Kosovo’s Minister of Trade and Industry, Hykmete Bajrami,  met on Wednesday Afёrdita Saraҫini Kelmendi, chairwoman of board of the Women's Economic Chamber of Kosovo (G7). Bajrami informed Kelmendi that the ministry's priority will be support for the private sector development, where a special attention will be paid to strengthening the role of women entrepreneurs, through concrete projects. Bajrami emphasized that Kosovo’s economic development can be generated by strengthening private initiatives, competitions and open trade.

The employees of administration departments of courts and prosecutions started a strike on Tuesday, demanding transport for the workers working at the Justice Palace in Hajvali, implementation of the Collective Agreement and salary increase by 25% for all employed in the courts and prosecution office. The chairman of the Independent Trade Union of Judiciary, Asllan Rusinovci said that they will continue with the strike until their demands, especially transport issue, are fulfilled.

Kosovo’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Hashim Thaci, is continuing his visit to Turkey, and on Friday met with Turkey's Prime Minister, Ahmet Davutoglu. Thaci and Davutoglu discussed the latest political developments and economic cooperation between Kosovo and Turkey, and agreed to take measures to increase the volume of Turkish investments in Kosovo. “Prime Minister Davutoglu promised that Turkish diplomacy and he personally will continue to defend the interests of Kosovo in the international arena,” wrote Thaci on his Facebook page.

Kosovo Minister of Justice Hajredin Kuqi, on Wednesday briefed the Committee on Legislation regarding the "Special court, the process of preparing the legislation and its constitutionality." Kuci said that he assumes that the headquarters of the special court will be in the Netherlands but, still there is no agreement with the state. Whereas for the special chambers of this court, Kuci said that he will insist that these chambers remain in Kosovo.

RTK reports that the agreement on justice reached in Brussels between Pristina and Belgrade, does not violate any of the current laws in the field of justice. RTK claims to possess a copy of this agreement, which shows that it is in full accordance with Kosovo’s justice system. “Kosovo laws will apply to judicial institutions in accordance with the First Agreement,” it is written in the document published by RTK.

The chairmanship of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), issued a press release on Wednesday, saying it is essential that the Kosovo government provides transparency and accountability on the agreement on justice, reached between Pristina and Belgrade in Brussels. “AAK expresses its concern about the rush to reach agreement on justice, which resulted in improvisation presented through special quotas and undermining the constitutional order of Kosovo.
