LDK’s Hyseni to head Kosovo delegation in talks with Belgrade (Gazeta Express)

Skender Hyseni, a member of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) and former Minister for Foreign Affairs, is expected to lead the Kosovo delegation in talks with Belgrade in Brussels. Unidentified sources told the news website that Hyseni however would not get the post of Minister of Foreign Minister. “Both parties [the LDK and the Democratic Party of Kosovo – PDK] have agreed to the proposal for Hyseni to lead the dialogue,” a senior LDK official said.

Mustafa to call off agreement with Thaci if he does not become prime minister (Gazeta Blic)

Leader of Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Isa Mustafa, before signing coalition agreement with leader of Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Hashim Thaci, had imposed certain conditions to the PDK, the main one being that Mustafa becomes the future prime minister of Kosovo. Sources inside the LDK said that if this condition is not met, there will be no coalition agreement between with PDK. Mustafa is also reported to have insisted on the new government not including any official that has been implicated in corruption or any other illegal activity.

The paper claims to have learnt the name of women that will be part of the new government from the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK). A senior PDK official said that the new cabinet will include Dhurata Sadiku-Hoxha, current advisor to Hashim Thaci, Mrika Tahiri, former director of the Privatisation Agency of Kosovo, Laura Zherka, member of PDK presidency, Mrika Kotorri from Thaci’s cabinet, former Energy Minister, Justina Shiroka Pula, and PDK deputy leader, Margarita Kadriu.

Hajredin Kuci, deputy leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), told the news website that the PDK and Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) have yet to divide posts. “We are still holding talks with the LDK. There is no disagreement,” Kuci stated. A senior LDK official, who preferred to remain anonymous, told Gazeta Blic that it is not certain if names rumored in the media would get ministerial posts. The source also said that the only certainty was that LDK leader Isa Mustafa would get the post of Prime Minister.

Mustafa wants Limaj in the new government (ORAinfo)

Isa Mustafa, leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), is adamant to include Fatmir Limaj’s Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA) in the new coalition government with the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK). Citing unidentified sources, ORAinfo reports that Mustafa has asked PDK leader Thaci to include Limaj’s party in the coalition, but Thaci did not say anything on the matter. “Thaci was reserved about the request, but he gave no final answer,” the source said.

They have established technical groups, which are expected to finalize the agreement during the next days. Eight ministries will belong to PDK and LDK, while three others are reserved for the minority community.

Albin Kurti, leader of Vetevendosje movement stated during a press conference held today that while reaching the agreement in principal, for the governance of Kosovo by the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK,) and the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK,) the parties did not discuss coalitions but the post of the prime minister.

“These were two bodies, one seat and no brain,” he said and added that these two parties divided the government as if by knife.
