Rasic and Miletic: Interests of Serbs are realized in institutions (RTK2)

Nenad Rasic and Petar Miletic said that the Serbian List should return to the Kosovo institutions in order to defend the interests of the Serbian community. At the meeting in Gracanica were adopted ten points concerning the improvement of the position of the Serbs in Kosovo. The last point envisaged that the draft statute of the Community of Serbian municipalities will be submitted at one of future meetings of the Assembly of the Serbian municipalities.

At the roundtable "Association/Community of Serbian municipalities (ZSO) and experiences of municipalities in the South", organized in Kosovska Mitrovica by the Centre for Community Development, Rada Trajkovic, president of NGO European Movement of Serbs, said that she expects the support of Belgrade, Kosovo Albanians and the international community, in regards to the formation of ZSO.

Pantic: The seizure of property in Kosovo will be a model for others (Radio Kontakt Plus)

Krstimir Pantic, MP in the Parliament of Serbia, said that the issue of property rights is unchangeable category everywhere in the world and that it must be valid also in Kosovo and Metohija. "If we allow Kosovo to seize Serbian state property then this would be a bad example, which will be a model for resolving similar issues. This will mean that we are still in the period when the force had primacy over the law and justice," he said.

Djuric: Deciding on life's problems in Brussels (TV Most, Nase novine)

Director of the Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Djuric announced that representatives of Serbia at the forthcoming talks in Brussels, on February 9, would run several topics of importance to the Serbian community in the province.

"The first topics of interest, most certainly, will be the position of Serbian municipalities, the position of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Serbian property in Kosovo and Metohija, justice. There must be the question of the missing whose fate, on both sides, is still unknown," Djuric said in an interview to "Nase novine."

Maric: ZSO formation among main topics of Brussels dialogue (Tanjug)

Ljubomir Maric, Kosovo's minister of administration and local self-government from the Serb people, said on Monday that the formation of a community of Serb municipalities (ZSO) will be among the main topics of the next meeting held as part of the Brussels dialogue.

In a statement to Tanjug, Maric said that the ZSO formation is also the main point of the coalition agreement, which the Citizens' Initiative Srpska signed with (ethnic) Albanian parties to form the government.

Trajkovic: Institutional link with Belgrade for the survival of Serbs (RTK2)

A recent statement of the leader of Progressive Democratic Party and MP in the Kosovo Assembly Nenad Rasic that Serbian institutions in Kosovo will be totally abolished already in April caused a storm of comments. 

President of the NGO European Movement of Serbs and former Member of the Assembly of Kosovo Rada Trajkovic see Association/ Community of Serbian Municipalities (ZSO) only as a name: "It is important that ZSO will not integrate Serbian institutions in Kosovo system, and that its goal is the survival of the Serbian population in this region." 

Fight against Kosovo's independence continues (B92, TV Most)

Marko Djuric has said that Serbia "will continue to fight against the unilaterally proclaimed independence of Kosovo by all means at the state's disposal."

 
This "fight," however, "does not prevent the administration in Belgrade or the Serbs in Kosovo to talk with the Kosovo Albanians and implement the agreements that have been reached," the director of the Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija said in an interview with the TV Most broadcaster from Zvecan in northern Kosovo.
