OSCE: Forum on sustainable solutions for displaced from Kosovo (RTK2)

OSCE Mission in Kosovo, together with UNHCR, will organize on 21 September in Budva Technical Meeting and Forum on the highest level about sustainable solutions for displaced persons from Kosovo.

The working group for technical issues will finalize proposals on 21 September related to priority areas such as property issues, civil documentation, data management and cooperation.

Special, sustainable measures for displaced persons from Kosovo were discussed at a meeting of the technical working groups in Pristina yesterday. The meeting, organised by the OSCE and supported by the UNHCR, brought together representatives from Pristina, Belgrade, Podgorica, and Skopje who spoke about issues relating to property rights, personal documents, security, and data management. The groups are expected to meet by the end of this month in Montenegro to further discuss measures to support sustainable return of displaced persons.

Representatives of Kosovo's neighboring countries met in Pristina to coordinate efforts on returning around 20,000 persons displaced from the Kosovo war who are willing to return.

Representatives from Montenegro, Serbia, Macedonia and Kosovo, dealing with the issue of displaced persons from the 1999 conflict, met in Pristina on Wednesday to discuss regional solutions to a problem persisting 16 years since the war in Kosovo ended.

Kosovo to host regional community policing conference (Telegrafi)

Kosovo Police and OSCE mission in Kosovo are hosts to a regional conference in Pristina that is to take place today. The conference is about community policing and efficient use of security forums in communities. International community policing and public safety experts will share their experiences with representatives from Belgrade, Podgorica, Pristina, Skopje, Tirana and Zagreb as well as representatives of institutions and civil society.

Kosovo Assembly Speaker Kadri Veseli met today with the Special Representative of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly for South East Europe, Roberto Battelli, and head of OSCE Mission in Kosovo, Jean-Claude Schlumberger.  Veseli and Batelli discussed current developments in Kosovo, the role and contribution of the OSCE in building democratic institutions in Kosovo, the mutual cooperation and the possibilities for Kosovo’s further advancement.

OSCE Mission in Kosovo supports dialogue between communities at the local level (KosovaPress)

The Municipalities of Ferizaj/Urosevac, Strpce/Shterpce and Klokot will sign a declaration for dialogue and cooperation between communities. The ceremony will be held in Ferizaj and supported by the OSCE Mission in Kosovo. The declaration is an expression of goodwill from the mayors to increase interaction and dialogue between the different communities residing in their municipalities through joint projects and activities.
