Kosovo President delivers speech on religious tolerance at Georgetown University (RTK)

President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga, visited the village of Krusha yesterday, in the municipality of Rahovec. There she met with women, members of the village cooperatives and received detailed information on the work process and difficulties faced by the members and leaders of the cooperatives, Fahrije Hoti. During the talks with women of Krusha, President Jahjaga said that she will be a powerful voice for them and that she has used their example often at several meetings she has had in Kosovo and abroad.

Jahjaga meets leader of Democratic Party of Albania, Lulzim Basha (Zeri)

President of Kosovo Atifete Jahjaga met with leader of the Democratic Party of Albania, Lulzim Basha, in Pristina today. Jahajga and Basha discussed the current situation in Kosovo, with special emphasis on the latest developments in the Kosovo Assembly as well as other processes related to visa liberalization requirements, the Stabilisation and Association Agreement and the Pristina-Belgrade dialogue.

Every woman of this country has a valuable history of sacrifice, resistance, faith and hope. Histories which we might have heard, which we might have shared with one another with pride, or which we have asked to be acted upon in order not to allow similar histories to occur ever again.

Ramush Haradinaj’s burden (Koha Ditore)

Today, Adriatik Kelmendi praised the leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Ramush Haradinaj, for participating in the meeting called by the President of Kosovo Atifete Jahjaga, in an attempt to find a solution to the political crisis. “To reach a situation that is beneficial for all, often one must act courageously, despite the danger this may incur for one's personal position. There is no doubt that this is applicable to Ramush Haradinaj,” Kelmendi writes.

The front page editorial of the paper says that yesterday’s meeting between party leaders at the office of the President did not offer anything new, instead, it only proved that the governing coalition has no intention to compromise with opposition, and that protests throughout Kosovo remain the only solution. According to Kosova Sot, the President failed to offer any interesting options either.
