Prime Minister Mustafa attends the European People's Party Summit (Koha)

Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Isa Mustafa, is participating in the European People’s Party Summit, which is taking place On Thursday in Brussels. Besides Prime Minister Mustafa, the Summit will attend leaders of European Union member states, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker, European Council President Donald Tusk, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Mariano Rahoj, Viktor Orban, Nicolas Sarkozy and other leaders of European right-wing parties. The main theme of the Summit will be the next meeting of the Council of Europe.

Astrit Gashi writes that Mustafa’s new government has marked three unknown records so far, during its first 100 days. For the first time, he writes, the first quarter finds the government of Kosovo without an endorsed governing program by the Assembly. Furthermore, being that the Assembly has not received the endorsed draft of the government, the public opinion would have been in a complete dark, if Gazeta Blic and movement FOL did not publish it.

Rrahman Rama assumes duty as KSF commander (Telegrafi)

In an official ceremony on Wednesday, Rrahman Rama took over the position of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF). Kosovo’s President, Atifete Jahjaga, appreciated the work of the KSF, and encouraged them to work even harder in the future when the KSF would be transformed into Kosovo Armed Force (KAF), and aspires to join NATO. Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Isa Mustafa, said that the government he leads will fulfill all the tasks in order to transform the KSF into KAF, which would serve peace, security and fight against terrorism in the region.

The President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga, met on Friday with the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, Chairman of the Judicial Council, Enver Peci, Acting Head Chief State Prosecutor Syle Hoxha and Kosovo Police Director Shpend Maxhuni, to discuss steps to be taken in combating corruption and organized crime.  Jahjaga said that the fight against corruption and organized crime should be intensified and urgently addressed in order to help Kosovo’s economic development and achieve progress in meeting visa liberalization reforms and European integration.

Mustafa: We accept no conditions from Serbian List (Telegrafi)

Prime Minister of Kosovo Isa Mustafa said at the Kosovo Assembly session that they have received no demand from the Serbian List ministers to rejoin the government. He said he asked the Serb ministers to discuss the issue but added that they expressed no readiness to do so. “We have not received conditions and we would not accept them,” said Mustafa.

Kosovo Prime Minister, Isa Mustafa, said in the Assembly today that in his recent meeting with the European Union High Representative, Federica Mogherini, he raised a number of issues that have to be included in dialogue with Serbia. Mustafa said that talks should include the freedom of movement in the northern part of Kosovo, the implementation of agreements reached in Brussels, the dissolution of illegal and parallel structures in the north, the energy, vehicle insurances, the telephone code, the border demarcation and the issue of missing persons.

Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, met on Tuesday with Saudi Arabia Ambassador to Albania, nonresident in Pristina, Talat Radwan Salem. Mustafa briefed the ambassador on Kosovo’s progress, priorities, economic development and employment reforms being undertaken by the government. Talat Radwan Salem, emphasized the willingness of Saudi Arabia to deepen bilateral cooperation with Kosovo, expressing his commitment in this regard, while working as non-resident ambassador in Pristina.

Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama met in Tirana today his Kosovo counterpart, Isa Mustafa. This is Prime Minister Mustafa’s first official visit to Albania since taking on his post. The two prime ministers spoke about strengthening economic cooperation and the upcoming joint meeting of the two governments. In a press conference after the meeting, Mustafa expressed appreciation for valuable support Albania has provided to Kosovo. He said Kosovo needs new recognitions.

Gazeta Blic’s editor-in-chief, Adrian Collaku, writes that the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, seems to feel quite comfortable in his new post and finds it of little importance whether his is on the side of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), or the Kosovo Intelligence Service (SHIK), both of which he used to accuse in the past of capturing and controlling Kosovo. If Mustafa previously had no evidence of a captured state, he now has, writes Collaku.

Bachus: Corruption in Kosovo, impeding economic development (KosovaPress)

The United States Deputy Ambassador to Kosovo, Jennifer Bachus, said on Friday that corruption in Kosovo is impeding economic development because it is affecting all levels of society.  Bachus also said that the U.S. has supported and will strongly support Kosovo's development in all fields. According to her, all people should unite to implement the ambitious program of government, adding that the justice sector is essential. Bachus made these comments during the High Level Forum organized by Prime Minister Isa Mustafa.
