The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, on Monday stated that the Kosovo government already has a strategy for preventing irregular migration. According to him, there is nowhere better than Kosovo, and all of those who are fleeing Kosovo will have to come back. "We are working in all sectors of the economy, in order to create new jobs, attract foreign investments and to promote small and medium enterprises which will create the conditions for employment,” said Mustafa. According to him, there will be structural reforms in the fields od education and health sector.

Journalist Enver Robelli writes in an opinion piece that the image of Kosovo has been destroyed by the government and not by the majority of citizens. Robelli argues that the “concerned citizens of Kosovo can fix the image of their country through peaceful resistance until they achieve qualitative changes in politics.” Robelli writes: “Stones were thrown in the streets of Pristina last Tuesday, directed especially against the bad governance perennial.

Albanians are leaving Kosovo because ruling authorities didn’t change, because the will of people was not respected, and the biggest responsibility for such situation is on the Prime Minister, Isa Mustafa, who betrayed his electoral, analyst and professor of the political science at Pristina-based AAB University, Nedzmedin Spahiu, said to Kontakt Plus Radio.

The prime ministers of Serbia and Kosovo, Aleksandar Vucic and Isa Mustafa, will meet in Brussels on February 9th to continue negotiations between the two countries after a break in talks that lasted several months. The precise topics of discussion are still unknown, but the participants will certainly cover implementation of the Brussels Agreement and its effects on the two countries.

The resumption of the talks with Pristina is especially important for Belgrade because the dialogue is a key point in the continuation of Serbia's EU integration.

The President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga and Prime Minister Isa Mustafa today appointed Agron Selimaj as director of the Kosovo Intelligence Agency (KIA). Selimaj served as a General Inspector at KIA. The news was confirmed by President’s Office through a press release.

Kosovo Women’s Network (KWN) in an open letter to Prime Minister Isa Mustafa stated the KWN members participated in the recent protests calling for dismissal of Communities and Returns Minister Aleksandar Jablanovic and the transformation of Trepca into a public enterprise. “KWN continues to support the citizens of Kosovo who are using their rights, guaranteed by law, to express their dissatisfaction through peaceful protest.

Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa met yesterday in Pristina the Director for Western Europe, Western Balkans and Turkey in the European External Action Service (EEAS), Fernando Gentilini. The two officials discussed preparations for the meetings between Kosovo and Serbia representatives that will be held in Brussels in early February.

Minister for Communities and Returns in Kosovo Government Aleksandar Jablanović will soon resign, reports the Pristina television KTV quoting "reliable sources". According to these sources Jablanović decided to resign after a request of leaders of LDK and PDK, the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa and Hashim Thaci, who requested him to do so several times. 

Kosovo’s government accused opposition leaders of trying to seize power using violence after protest clashes in Pristina that left over 170 people injured, while the opposition blamed the police.

Government and opposition have blamed each other for six hours of unrest near the government building during protests in central Pristina on Tuesday which resulted in 120 arrests.

Prime Minister of Kosovo Isa Mustafa in a meeting of the government today expressed regret over the people injured in the protest yesterday and the support for the police in guaranteeing a safe and secure environment. He reiterated that the protest was politically motivated. “The main cause of yesterday’s escalation of the protest was the ultimatum for removing the police cordon,” said Mustafa.
