The Western Balkans countries need almost two centuries to reach an average income in the European Union member states if they progress at such a low growth rate, EBRD Director for the region Zsuzsanna Hargittai said on Wednesday, the Beta news agency reported.

EBRD analyses show that during migrations, highly qualified personnel rather than those with average knowledge and skills leave regional countries.

European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) President Suma Chakrabarti told RTS that migration of skilled workers has a negative effect on productivity, and that negative growth effects can also lead to the departure of low-skilled labor.

The project of revitalization and expansion of the road Brezovica - Ski Center Šara, as well as infrastructure projects of the municipalities of Novo Brdo and Gracanica, were presented at the Summit of the leaders of the Western Balkans at the headquarters of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in London.

Minister Jevtic expects these projects to be supported and implemented, reports KIM radio.

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, is participating in the Investment Summit, sponsored by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), in London.

This year's Summit is set to focus on the investment potential and business opportunities in the Western Balkan states. The development of new road corridors as well as renewable energy initiatives are also on the agenda.

First Assembly of the European Investors Council (EIC) was held on Thursday in Pristina, attended by ambassadors of European Union member states, representatives of key local and international organizations and diplomatic guests.
