Serbia rejects changes of the Agreement on association (Lajmi.net)

The director of the Office for Kosovo in the Serbian government, Marko Djuric, stated that Belgrade would not accept any alternative other than full implementation of the agreements signed in Brussels with the government of Pristina. This official stressed that Serbia is determined to pursue this issue until resolved and added that changes of the draft would not be accepted.

Elections in Serbia will also affect the dialogue (Koha Ditore)

The paper’s Brussels-based correspondent, Augustin Palokaj, writes today that  because of the election campaign, Serbia now can drag out even more the process of normalizing relations with Kosovo. “Serbia PM Aleksandar Vucic is in a favorable position, because there is nothing to lose for Serbia. Negotiations have started and chapters have been opened,” Palokaj writes.  According to the author, the international community should be more careful with Serbia and Vucic.

Djuric heads Belgrade delegation in Brussels (TV Most)

Director of the Serbian Government Office for Kosovo Marko Djuric will lead the Belgrade delegation in the in the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina which will be held from 18 to 20 January in Brussels. During this round of talks which will be held at the expert level will be discussed the establishment of Association / Community of Serb municipalities, telecommunications, freedom of movement, university diplomas and other open issues.

The French Ambassador to Kosovo, Maryse  Daviet, appealed for the continuation of the discussions with Serbia, and stressed that they are beneficial for the future of Kosovo. She once again stressed the support of France in Kosovo’s journey towards European integration. Daviet made these statements during a lecture held in front of the students of AAB College.

Vucic: I am not optimistic before the resumption of dialogue with Pristina (Blic)

The Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic says that Serbia is ready to continue dialogue with the Pristina authorities but that he is not optimistic because Kosovo officials are not willing to fulfil what has been agreed so far.

- I'm not very optimistic, although we will give all of ourselves ... I am not optimistic because in Pristina are not ready to meet what is the basis of the Brussels agreement - Community of Serbian municipalities - Vucic said at a press conference held in the villa "Bokeljka".
