Dacic: China, Russia guarantee Kosovo issue won’t be solved to Serbia’s detriment (media)

Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said on Thursday that the support of China and Russia as permanent members of the United Nations Security Council “guarantees that the issue of Kosovo will not be solved to Serbia’s detriment”. Dacic made these remarks during his visit to Beijing.

FM: Belgrade wants continuation of dialogue, not accusations (B92)

Belgrade wants a continuation of the dialogue with Pristina in a status-neutral way, Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic has said.

That also implies that Pristina does not begin every discussion with references to "genocide" or "ethnic cleansing" allegedly committed by Serbia, he told a regular news conference in Belgrade on Thursday.

Pristina is displaying nervousness because it is less and less successful on the international scene, Dacic said.

Dacic walked out of Warsaw meeting "because of insults" (B92)

Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic says he left a meeting in Warsaw on Tuesday "because of the insults made by Kosovo Foreign Minister Enver Hoxhaj."

Dacic said on Wednesday that Hoxhaj accused Serbs of being guilty for "all wars in the former Yugoslavia and for genocide."

The meeting in Poland brought together members of the Visegrad Group and of the so-called Western Balkans Six.

Mauritius backs Serbia's territorial integrity (Tanjug)

Serbian Deputy PM and FM Ivica Dacic spoke with Mauritian PM Anerood Jugnauth on the fringes of the summit of the International Organisation of La Francophonie in Antananarivo, thanking him for the support for Serbia's territorial integrity and non-recognition of Kosovo's independence.

They also discussed ways of improving political and economic ties and coordination of positions on international affairs, the Serbian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Dacic lobbying against further recognitions of Kosovo (B92)

Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said on Wednesday he had launched resolute diplomatic activities aimed at preventing further recognitions of Kosovo.

He is doing so "with a series of bilateral meetings in the Madagascan capital Antananarivo, where he is attending a summit of the International Organization of the Francophonie," Tanjug has reported.

Dacic, and Thaci, to attend "La Francophonie" summit (B92)

Serbian Deputy PM and FM Ivica Dacic will attend the November 22-26 Summit of the International Organization of La Francophonie in Madagascar.

Tanjug reported on Tuesday that this event is "also expected to be attended by Kosovo President Hashim Thaci."

President of France Francois Hollande has also been announced to attend the event, the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement, adding that Dacic was expected to "try to prevent further recognitions of Kosovo."

FM reacts to claim of Belgrade's "colonial tendencies" (media)

Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic has rejected claims of the Kosovo Ambassador to the U.S. Vlora Citaku about Belgrade's "colonial tendencies toward Pristina."

Speaking at the end of the UN Security Council session on Kosovo, Dacic said that "we are not colonizers and will not allow to be spoken about in that way in the UN Security Council."

Dacic to attend UNSC meeting on UNMIK's work (Tanjug)

BELGRADE - First Deputy PM and FM Ivica Dacic will be representing Serbia at Wednesday's United Nations Security Council meeting on a report by the UN secretary-general on the work of UNMIK, the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

Dacic will present his take on the report for the period between July 16 and October 15, Serbia's position on the current situation in Kosovo-Metohija, and highlight how crucial UNMIK's operation is for Serbia.
