The Trade Union of Journalists of Serbia (SINOS) wants 16 RTS employees killed by NATO to be included on the list of the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ).

SINOS said in a statement that the night when NATO bombs killed 16 media workers in their workplace marked the beginning of the practice of unprovoked military attacks on media outlets in other parts of the world as well.

The president of the European Movement of Serbs from Kosovo, Rada Trajkovic to receive police protection, reports Radio Television of Serbia (RTS).

Rada Trajkovic told Belgrade based daily Politika that she contacted the Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) because she felt that her and the safety of her family was endangered, reports RTS.

NATO's bombing 20 years ago of Serbian public broadcaster RTS, killing 16 employees, was a barbaric act for which there is not a single justification. Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said that late on Monday during an international conference dubbed, "End of Impunity for Crimes Against Journalists," B92 reports.

20 years will have passed at 02:06 hours CET on April 23 since NATO airstrikes targeting Serbia's public broadcaster, RTS, that killed 16 employees.

This was the first case of a media outlet being declared a legitimate military goal.

The attacks came as part of NATO's 78-day war against Serbia waged in the spring of 1999.

Human Rights Watch said a year later, in 2000, that there was no justification for the bombing of the broadcaster.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said it cannot ignore "a series of steps taken by the current Albanian leadership in connection with the consolidation of the Albanian factor within the regional policy of Tirana," reported Radio Television of Serbia.

Ivica Dacic said that it is expected that at the upcoming meeting in Berlin, probably would be additional pressure on Belgrade and Pristina to continue the dialogue.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia told Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) that Pristina must abolish the tariffs for this to happen.

"There are additional pressures on Serbia in order to appease Pristina to suspend the tariffs, " Dacic said.

A study has been conducted on a generation of children born after NATO's aggression on Serbia in 1999.

President of the Commission for Investigating Consequence of the NATO bombing Darko Laketic announced this on Thursday.
He told the public broadcaster RTS that this research has been conducted together with the Batut Institute of public health, because it was possible to exclude all risk factors with the young population, unlike with adults - giving the results great scientific value.

Aleksandar Vucic has said that it is time for the Serbs to unite over all important issues and to understand that only together we can fight for our interests.

The head of the Parliamentary Committee for Kosovo Milovan Drecun said the decision to call local elections in the north of Kosovo was Pristina’s intention to void the majority's will of the Serbs and “to install” individuals from the Serb nation, the Beta news agency reported on Wednesday.

Speaking to the public service Radio Television of Serbia (RTS), Drecun said that “the situation among the Serbs could be complicated after this election and Pristina could use that as an excuse to intervene.”

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic told the RTS in the "Oko" show, about the relations between Belgrade and Pristina, that the abolition of the tariffs is not in sight.

"I do not see that Pristina is thinking about acting constructively, in accordance with the time in which we live. Pristina is trying to sharpen the situation further and move away from the dialogue," Brnabic said.
