Rasic: I cannot convince Serbian List on KAF (Indeksonline)

The Serb deputy at the Assembly of Kosovo, Nenad Rasic, considers that it is impossible for him to have any impact on the Serbian List to vote the Kosovo Armed Force (KAF). UNESCO to review Kosovo’s membership application on 3 October (RTK)

UNESCO’s Executive Council will review Kosovo’s application for membership on 3 October. According to Kosovo’s Deputy Foreign Minister Petrit Selimi, Serbia will be unable to prevent Kosovo’s membership. “Legally, Kosovo is eligible to apply to UNESCO because two-thirds of votes are not necessary and there are many European countries that gained UNESCO membership before becoming members of the UN”, said Selimi in an interview for Radio Kosova.

Detention for terrorist suspect continues (Lajmi.net)

Court of Appeals has kept in power the detention measure for the five individuals suspected for criminal offense of “preparing terrorist criminal offences, or offences against the constitutional order and security of the Republic of Kosovo,” Article 144, related to the Article 135 of the penal code of Kosovo. Therefore the panel of judges rejected the appeals of the defendants, B.L., E.L., M.H., G.H., and F.M., as not grounded, and certified the decision of the Basic Court in Pristina, PPKR.NR.254/2015, dated 13.07.2015.

Dacic:Kosovo's bid to join UNESCO is distortion of agreement (Tanjug,Kurir)

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic said Sunday that Serbia will do everything in its power to keep Kosovo from becoming a member of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

Serbs from village Goraždevac, Peć/Peja municipality, have requested protection from Kosovo institutions and international community following the latest incidents. They fear that attacks in Goraždevac and returnee villages in Peć/Peja region are silently approved in order that remaining Serbs are frightened and leave Metohija region.
