Kosovo platform to be sent to MPs during summer (Vecernje Novosti, B92)

President Tomislav Nikolic's platform for Kosovo could be on the agenda of the national assembly at the earliest in late July or early August. The daily Vecernje Novosti writes that "expert and political communities, but also leading national institutions will give their opinion on the proposal in order to achieve as broader a social consensus as possible before the final debate in parliament." Jablanović: A/CSM neither fog nor hoax (TV Most)

US State Department: Rise of extremism in Kosovo (RTK)

An annual report on Kosovo from the Bureau of Diplomatic Security with the US State Department describes the overall crime situation in Kosovo and the threat of regional and international terrorism as being similar to that in other European countries. “Kosovo has seen a rise of Islamic extremism over the last years,” the report states noting that 60 persons have been arrested in 2014 under the suspicion of participating or supporting fighting in Syria and Iraq. The report says that the protests in Kosovo are generally peaceful but more frequent because of political tensions.

Selaković: The issue of Kosovo is number one political issue (Vecernje Novosti)

Minister of Justice Nikola Selakovic today stated that visit of the Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić to Brussels and Berlin is important because Kosovo and Metohija, and relation with Pristina, is the number one political issue in relations between the EU and Serbia. Selaković said to TV Pink that states that make core of the EU, that is Germany, is mostly interested about relation between Belgrade and Pristina.

Mustafa: Kosovo does not want destabilization of FYROM (Lajmi)

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, said today in Pristina that Kosovo is not a destabilizing factor and that it had nothing to do with the latest incidents in Kumanovo, in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. He also said that stability in FYROM means stability in the region, including Kosovo. Mustafa made these remarks during the regular meeting of the Kosovo government.

Vucic Complains about Serbian President to NGO Officials (Blic, VIP)

Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic is creating serious problems for the Serbian Government with his platform for Kosovo, Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic told representatives of nongovernmental organizations, adding that he learned about the content of the document from the media, Blic reports on Monday. “Nikolic is creating serious problems for me with the platform, and I learned from the media about what is written in it,” said Vucic to NGO representatives at meetings last week. The Prime Minister complained that Nikolic wrote the platform without any consultations with him.
