“UÇK” graffiti appear in Nis (Vecernje Novosti)

“UÇK” (Kosovo Liberation Army) graffiti have appeared on walls in several locations at the periphery of Nis in southern Serbia, two nights ago. Red color graffiti were found on locations where most of by-passers can see them, what led to anxiety amongst the residents of those suburbs because they  remind them on organization that fought in Kosovo and is linked with latest events in Kumanovo. Locals are still wondering who stands behind those graffiti and are not sure whether it is about the real message or a jokes made by youngsters.

While citizens in the region follow with anxiety assessments of various analysts that events in Macedonia could easily ‘spill over’, Belgrade reinforces the presence of gendarmerie  in Presevo, Pristina is sending special units ROSU on the border with Macedonia, but in Tirana hundreds of young are protesting in solidarity with Albanians in Kumanovo with the message “Kumanovo you are not alone”. No one is mentioning Serbs from Kosovo, however they have different opinions about whether the scenario that took place in Macedonia could repeat in their region.

Attackers threw stones at primary school in Lipljan/Lipjan (KIM radio, TV Most, NMagazin, Tanjug)

Unidentified persons threw stones at the Braca Aksic elementary school in Lipljan/Lipjan, central Kosovo, and while nobody was injured, the school was left with a broken glass. The school is located in a majority ethnic Albanian area and is the only school in which there are no classes on Mondays due to market day, and the incident occurred in the night between Sunday and Monday. The case has been reported to the Kosovo police, who have launched an investigation into the incident. New attack on Klina Serbs, third in two weeks (Tanjug)

Bogosav Dabizljevic, a Serb returnee to Klina/Kline, western Kosovo, has been attacked and robbed, suffering three broken ribs in the incident, the Kosovo ministry for return and communities said in a statement on Monday. The attack on the Dabizljevic family was the third against Serb returnees in that municipality over the past two weeks.
