Đurić against the creation of army of Kosovo (Tanjug/KIM Radio)

Director of the Serbian Government’s Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Đurić objected today to announced creation of army of Kosovo and downsizing of KFOR, and pointed that it would not serve the peace and stability, and protection of Serbs in the province. At the NATO Parliamentary Assembly session Đurić said that downsizing of KFOR could mean only destabilization, and in worst case scenario, violence against non-Albanians. “Who will, if there is no KFOR around, protect monastery Visoki Dečani and Serbs in Gračanca, Štrpce...?”asked Đurić.

MP from the Serbian List Velimir Rakic dies in a car accident (Beta/Blic)

MP from the Serbian List in the Kosovo Assembly Velimir Rakic (63) from village Sočanica in northern Kosovo, died in a car accident near Leposavić/Leposaviq on Wednesday night. The accident occurred around 20:00 near the petrol station at the entrance of Leposavić/Leposaviq after vehicle with Rakic collided with the heavy truck, reported TV Most. Rakic succumbed to injuries in North Mitrovica Hospital.

After reviewing more than 100 complaints over insufficient criminal investigations with regard to disappearances, kidnappings and murders in Kosovo, Human Rights Advisory Panel came to conclusion that failures of UNMIK in that regard were systematic and that they cannot be justified, reads the newest report of the UNMIK Human Rights Advisory Panel (HRAP).
