All media report that police have arrested Donika Kadaj-Bujupi, MP from the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), in relation to the events in the Kosovo Assembly on Tuesday. The AAK issued a press release calling on law enforcement authorities “not to turn into tools of the government and not to carry out political orders coming from the corrupt and criminals, Mustafa, Thaci and Veseli”. The press release also notes: “The AAK together with other opposition parties is adamant not to allow the passing of two agreements – on the Association and the border demarcation – despite blackmails coming from a corrupt and criminal regime that has gone entirely against the interests of the state by violating the constitutional order and the territorial integrity of the Republic of Kosovo. The AAK demands that its MP is released as quickly as possible”. Several news sites quote AAK MP Ahmet Isufi as saying that the police should stop arresting MPs otherwise the crisis will deteriorate even further.
