Kosovo Police have arrested Vetevendosje MP, Donika Kadaj-Bujupi, at the border crossing with the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM), media reported. Vetevendosje in a statement confirmed Kadaj-Bujupi's arrest and said she was detained on previous charges. "This arrest, at a time when demarcation is being anticipated at the Assembly, is a provocation," the party said and called on law enforcement mechanisms to stop "persecuting" Vetevendosje MPs and activists.

The Vetevendosje Movement MP, Donika Kadaj-Bujupi, was not allowed to enter Kosovo Assembly building today and was arrested by Kosovo Police. According to media reports, she was arrested after security found tear gas canisters in her possession. .  Vetevendosje Movement through a press  statement reacted against Kadaj-Bujupi’s arrest. “The government has ordered the arrest of Donika Kadaj-Bujupi.

The Vetëvendosje Movement MP, Donika Kadaj-Bujupi, said on Tuesday that nothing can stop Vetëvendosje to oppose the border-demarcation deal with Montenegro. “We will not stop opposing this harmful agreement, because Kosovo has no land to give away. Arrests and other efforts cannot stop us,” Kadaj-Bujupi said.

Members of Vetëvendosje taking part in the roundtable on border demarcation agreement with Montenegro walked out of the room when President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, took the floor. Donika Kadaj-Bujupi said the decision was taken because Vetëvendosje considers Thaçi’s place is in behind bars and not at the roundtable. “He sold Kosovo and this is deplorable under Kosovo’s penal code. He has no place in this roundtable,” said Kadaj-Bujupi of Thaçi.

The Vetëvendosje Movement MP, Donika Kadaj-Bujupi, said on Monday that the agreement on border-demarcation with Montenegro in the current format is not right and Kosovo would be losing its territory with this agreement.  According to her, Vetëvendosje will never allow this agreement to pass the Kosovo Assembly. While commenting on government’s criticism that the opposition is blocking the visa liberalisation process, Kadaj-Bujupi said that opposition will not give up territory in exchange for visa liberalisation.

Vetëvendosje MP Donika Kadaj-Bujupi said today that the Kosovo government would make a “provocation” if it decided to submit to the Kosovo Assembly the border-demarcation with Montenegro. Kadaj-Bujupi said the Vetëvendosje Movement will oppose the current version of the agreement and ask for a review of the document. “The border-demarcation agreement will produce new crises,” she added.

The Vetevendosje Movement MP, Donika Kadaj Bujupi, said on Thursday that Serbia is interfering in different forms in Kosovo. According to her, Serbia is continuously increasing its influence within Kosovo. “Serbia is interfering in different forms in Kosovo. It's thanks to this government that we have, the Serbian government is continuously increasing its influence in our country,” Kadaj Bujupi said.

In her first Assembly appearance as a member of Vetëvendosje, Donika Kadaj-Bujupi criticized the government of Kosovo for failing to obtain membership in international organisations and stretching authority to the north. She said that the government promised more recognitions, membership in the UN and visa liberalisation. “Now, 17 years after the war, not only did Kosovo not manage to gain UN membership but with this regime it cannot even spread sovereignty to Mitrovica”, said Kadaj-Bujupi.

Vetevendosje MP, Donika Kadaj-Bujupi, said in an interview for TV Dukagjini that, the Kosovo government is “trying to smuggle in the Assembly two anti-constitutional agreements that it signed in Brussels”. Kadaj-Bujupi said her party would engage in a powerful and uncompromising resistance in the Assembly in order to prevent the border-demarcation agreement with Montenegro and the agreement on the Association/Community of Serb-majority municipalities. “Our opposition will be even stronger than in the last eight months.

Vetëvendosje Movement MP, Donika Kadaj-Bujupi, said yesterday that her party is considering returning to the Assembly after several weeks of boycott. According to her, they will be there to strongly oppose agreements on the border-demarcation with Montenegro and the Association/Community of Serb-majority municipalities. She said that there will be coordination and resistance from the citizens, opposition and some ruling-coalition MPs, to oppose “these dangerous agreements for Kosovo”.
