Lunacek calls for dialogue between political parties (GazetaExpress)
The European Parliament Vice President and Rapporteur for Kosovo, Ulrike Lunacek, told the news site the opposition’s violent acts hinder the political dialogue between the opposition and the government. However, she said a solution can be found without outside interference. Lunacek also said in addition to opposition’s act, also the government is not much interested to calm the situation. “I've repeated the call for dialogue as a means to resolve political differences and encourage all parties to use various opportunities for dialogue including the proposal made by MPs Vjosa Osman and Ilir Deda. I think this is a valid proposal and opportunities presented therein should not be overlooked. Now, all parties should expect the final decision of the Constitutional Court in January and returned to work in the Assembly,” Lunacek said.
Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) MP Vjosa Osmani, said today that the Commission for Political Affairs of the European Parliament welcomed the proposal for overcoming the current political crisis in the Kosovo Assembly prepared by MPs Osmani and Ilir Deda.
