Assembly of Kosovo has prolonged its winter holiday more than usual, after a season when tear gas by the opposition parties was thrown almost at every session.

Assembly Presidency gathered last week however they did not set the date for the next session. They said the date will be set at the next meeting of the Presidency which is to commence on 6 or 7 February.

During one of the next sessions the Assembly of Kosovo is expected elect the future President of Kosovo. Lajmi.net has learned from its sources within the coalition government that election of the President will in fact take place at the very first the spring session.

The source informed that the session where the leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, will be voted for President will take place before the 17 February, when opposition parties have announced their next protest to demand resignation of the coalition government.
