Mustafa: Thaci’s election as president avoided an anarchy in Kosovo (Koha)
Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Isa Mustafa, said today that the opposition parties may freely address the Constitutional Court regarding the process of electing Hashim Thaci as Kosovo president. He added that he didn’t put pressure on LDK MPs on voting for Thaci after the first round of voting. “We didn’t put pressure on the MPs. It is their vote and they voted for Thaci,” Mustafa said. “We have ensured the continuity of work of the Republic of Kosovo institutions, we saved the country from going to new elections which would have brought Kosovo into anarchy because the conditions aren't right for holding new elections now. If the conditions were there, no one would fear elections,” Mustafa said. He also announced that soon there will be changes in the government after Thaci’s resignation from public posts. Mustafa made these comments during a conference on security of energy supply in Kosovo.
