Xhavit Haliti, MP from the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), proposed for the next meeting of the Commission for European Integrations to invite the Government Commission for the border demarcation with Montenegro in order to be informed on the manner that this commission functioned.

Head of the Government Commission for the border line between Kosovo and Montenegro, Murat Meha, said that if invited, the Commission does not have any problem to report about the findings and the process of the demarcation with the neighboring country. “We have not received so far any request or invitation. We are a commission established by the government and we respond to its requests, therefore there is no problem for us to present achievements on the demarcation which are factual and official for the state of Kosovo,” Meha said. He added that marking of the border line was already confirmed by local and international experts. “The issue of the border was in fact verified by an international commission, the U.S. State Department and high-level experts, therefore we stand behind that documentation because it is precise, official and based on legal grounds of the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo of 1974. Every single aspect is confirmed officially and professionally,” Meha stressed.
