"The agreement in 2019; neither Kosovo or Serbia will be asked much" (KIM radio, KTV)

Kosovo Assembly Vice President Xhavit Haliti said that Pristina and Belgrade would not be asked much about the agreement on normalizing relations between Kosovo and Serbia.

He told Pristina based KTV that a legally binding agreement would be reached this year, and only thanks to the high pressure of Western diplomacy, reports KIM radio.

Kosovo Assembly Deputy Speaker, Xhavit Haliti said that those whose names were mentioned in the Dick Marty’s report could be invited to appear before the Specialist Court, if there are evidences, BETA news agency reported.

Haliti made these remarks for KTV, adding he expects the Specialist Court would invite all persons mentioned in the Swiss Senator Dick Marty’s report, adopted by the Council of Europe, if there are evidences.

Veseli reelected President of the Assembly of Kosovo (media)

Kosovo Assembly MPs elected Kadri Veseli with 62 votes for, 52 against and no abstentions, for the President of the Assembly of Kosovo. This is Veseli’s second mandate as president of the legislative.

MPs also elected deputy presidents of the Assembly: Xhavit Haliti from the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Aida Derguti from Vetevendosje Movement and Kujtim Shala from the Democratic league of Kosovo (LDK) and Alternativa coalition.

Haliti: PAN has votes to form government (Indeksonline)

Senior official from the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Xhavit Haliti, said PAN coalition has the 61 votes necessary for forming the new government. “To form a government is not a big problem. There are some other issues regarding the functioning of the government after its formation”, Haliti is quoted. He said that the initiative of President Hashim Thaci to meet political leaders before setting the date for Assembly’s constitutive session is part of his constitutional duties.

Deputy President of the Assembly of Kosovo, Xhavit Haliti, said that ‘we as MPs called on the Serbian List to return.”

“This is the Parliament of Kosovo and they are its members, they should be defending the rights of the citizens who voted them,” Haliti said after the meeting of the Assembly presidency, where the leader of the Serbian List, Slavko Simic, was also present.

 Xhavit Haliti, MP from the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), proposed for the next meeting of the Commission for European Integrations to invite the Government Commission for the border demarcation with Montenegro in order to be informed on the manner that this commission functioned.
